Artist in the Classroom: Hans Heuberger

Hans came to our classroom on Tuesday & showed both 7th grade art classes his prints, blocks and tools that he uses to make to make his prints. Hans has lived in Europe & Japan and that influenced his artwork. The students loved using Hans' blocks to make their own prints & they had a number of questions for Hans about the process. Thanks Hans!

Artist in the Classroom: Ellen Murtagh

Artist Ellen Murtagh taught this fun lesson to 6th graders on Friday. We painted large pieces of paper mixing colors right onto the paper. Then, when it dried, we cut up pieces to make cards & small works of art. When we looked at the small cards, we saw objects in the paintings & we pulled the objects out with markers. Ellen showed us some of her beautiful paintings and cards she had created. Thanks Ellen!
