Pop Art and Historical Figure Pedistals, 5th grade
Nancy Walkup who is the editor of School Arts Magazine, as well as an elementary art teacher in Texas came up with this awesome lesson plan which my students loved! The figures had to be on either Ionic or Doric columns. The 5th grade students got so engaged in this project and did a super job!

I used white clay. I guess the link isn't working anymore. But it was also in School Arts Magazine a few years back.
