These trace monotypes are wonderful! 7th grade students studied Impressionist painters like Monet, Degas and Renoir and drew a landscape that was inspired by Impressionist paintings. Next they traced their drawing directly onto another piece of paper that had ink rolled evenly under it on a piece of plexiglass. The results were amazing! Because they used the drawing over and over again, they could make multiple prints and they made sure to use a different colored pencil each time so they could see what still needed to be traced over.
