Artist in the Classroom! Joanne Kelly!

We were lucky enough to have Joanne Kelly who is a ceramicist to do a project with our 5th grade art class for an entire week's worth of classes! She started showing us how to make slabs and pinch pots. The students got to decide if they wanted to make slab platters and pinch pots, or bird feeders formed with slabs and pinch pots. We then glazed everything and assembled them all together. The students worked very hard on this challenging project. Don't they look fantastic!
